Polymarket US
Polymarket US is the US version of Polymarket.
Status as of Oct 14, 2026.
Overview
Polymarket US is the US version of Polymarket. It's run by QCX LLC, which does business as Polymarket US. The CFTC designated it as a contract market, and its amended designation order is dated Nov 24, 2025. That makes it a federally regulated US exchange, like Kalshi.
It is a separate thing from polymarket.com. The international site trades in USDC crypto and is not for US persons. If you're in the US, Polymarket US is the version meant for you. We don't link to the international site for US readers.
You buy yes-or-no contracts on events, and a correct contract pays $1. The price works like the market's odds. Secondary sources report web, iOS and Android apps. Its Trust & Safety Hub says “Legal nationwide”, with a footnote that trading isn't currently available in Nevada.
Fees are published on its docs site. As of Oct 7, 2026, most markets charge takers the same formula (table tennis uses a higher 0.10 rate). Makers get a rebate until Oct 19, 2026. From then, rebates depend on monthly volume, and makers under $10M a month get none.
Legal status: secondary sources report that a Nevada court issued a preliminary injunction against it on May 29, 2026. New York sued it on Sep 24, 2026, and Polymarket US countersued in federal court (QCX v. James, 26-cv-8345). Secondary sources report a Minnesota ban was blocked by a court on Jul 27, 2026. Laws change, check your state.
Best for
US adults who follow Polymarket's markets and want the regulated US exchange.
Skip it if
Skip it if you live in Nevada (its Trust & Safety Hub says trading isn't available there), or you want the widest range of categories. Kalshi has more.
Pricing
Taker fee = 0.0695 × contracts × price × (1 − price) on most markets as of Oct 7, 2026; table tennis uses 0.10. Maker rebates are 0.0125 × the same formula until Oct 19, 2026. From Oct 19, maker rebates depend on volume, and makers under $10M a month get none. Taker rebates start above $250k a month. Source: docs.polymarket.us/fees, checked Oct 14, 2026. Pros
- A CFTC-designated contract market, with an amended designation order dated Nov 24, 2025.
- Makers trading above $10M a month earn a rebate from Oct 19, 2026, instead of paying a fee.
- One published fee formula for most markets as of Oct 7, 2026, so costs are easy to work out.
Cons
- Trading isn't available in Nevada, per its own Trust & Safety Hub.
- New York's lawsuit (filed Sep 24, 2026) is ongoing, so access there could change.
- Easy to confuse with polymarket.com, which isn't for US users. Make sure you're on polymarket.us.
- A newer US product. The rebate tiers only start Oct 19, 2026, so there's little track record yet.
How it compares
Polymarket US vs Kalshi. The taker fee is almost the same: 0.0695 vs 0.07 times contracts × price × (1 − price). At a 50¢ price that's about 1.74¢ vs 1.75¢ per contract (Kalshi rounds up), which is close to a wash. Table tennis is the exception: a 0.10 taker fee, or 2.5¢ at 50¢. For makers, Polymarket US pays a rebate until Oct 19, 2026; from then, only makers above $10M a month get one. Some Kalshi series charge makers a fee. Kalshi has the wider category list. On state access they differ: Polymarket US is out of Nevada entirely, while Kalshi's biggest blocks are in Washington and Michigan (and sports in Nevada). Pick by where you live and which markets you actually follow.
Quick start
- Read the fee page at docs.polymarket.us/fees.
- Read the eligibility and trust information at polymarket.us/trust.
- Make sure you are on polymarket.us, not polymarket.com.
- Read a market's rules before you look at its price.
Verdict
Polymarket US is the regulated way for US users to reach Polymarket's markets, and its taker fee is about the same as Kalshi's, except on table tennis. It's newer, it's not in Nevada, and New York is suing it. It's our runner-up for regulated US prediction markets. Check your state and the platform's terms first.
